Dehydrated Sourdough Starter
Ready to delve into the world of sourdough baking? Meet Franny! Or Francis, Franberry, Frank, or whatever else we're calling her this week. Franny's simple rehydration instructions can have you baking in as little as three days.
An excellent gift for the home baker in your life. Franny comes with two of our family's favorite recipes: a standard loaf recipe and easy overnight, cream cheese frosted, sourdough cinnamon roll recipe!
Franny is an incredibly active starter used almost daily in our home since 2020. Package includes a minimum of 10 grams of dehydrated starter. For starting, we would recommend ensuring you have some type of glass jar with a loose fitting lid or jar bonnet, a kitchen scale, and your choice of flour. We use all purpose flour to maintain our Franny, but you may use a wide variety of flour types for varying results in your sourdough consistency.
Care and Maintenance:
Re-hydrated starters are a living culture and must be maintained daily when left at room temperature. Daily care is referred to as "feedings." After your starter is active, you may discard or use the starter daily, then mix in equal parts of flour and water to feed your starter. Increase your feeding ratios to bulk up your starter for a recipe, or decrease to maintain with less daily waste.
Ingredients: flour, cultures (wild yeasts).
CONTAINS: WHEAT

How to DESTROY your wood product.
Step One: Never oil your wood product regularly.
Step Two: Soak/submerge in water.
Step Three: Wash in dishwasher.
Congratulations your board is now warping, coming apart at the seams, and is rougher than the sandpaper used to finish it.
Now that we have that out of the way.
How to keep your wood goods happy
In all seriousness if you stay away from doing those three steps your wood product will last for many years.
